Who made it?
Klara Kattwinkel
Klara Kattwinkel has always been passionate about supporting people through tough times. At just 20, while studying psychology in Groningen, Netherlands, she founded the nonprofit LittleBigDreams e.V., which empowers children in Vietnam and is building a self-sufficient orphanage. What started as a heartfelt idea has grown into an organization that’s built dormitories, sanitary facilities, and educational spaces, ensuring daily care and access to education for countless children.
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, plus years of experience working with children and teens, Klara has been a primary therapist in child and adolescent psychiatry and teaches university students. These days, she offers outpatient therapy for kids and adolescents, as well as hybrid and virtual psychological counseling for teens and adults.
Well-being has always been a central theme in Klara’s life. From training in yoga and mindfulness to diving deep into nutrition, movement, and self-reflection, she’s always been curious about what helps people thrive. For years, she has collected powerful reflection questions through her work, personal journaling, and meaningful conversations. Journaling became her personal anchor—a way to bring clarity and intention into daily life. Creating this journal has been a passion project, weaving together everything she’s learned to help others find balance, inspiration and clarity.
Silin Li // Forest
Forest grew up in China and moved to Vancouver at 15, where she met Klara, her host sister. Even as teenagers, they dreamed of creating something together when they were older. Back then, the plan was to open a café. While the café hasn’t happened (yet), life had other ideas—and something even more meaningful came out of it.
Forest stayed in Canada to study international business, then went on to study hospitality management in Macao. Early on, she discovered her love for graphic design and has spent years creating beautiful print works of art. These days, she’s working on her PhD in digital education from Bangkok, driven by her passion for empowering others—a mission that feels essential in these times of uncertainty.
When Forest and Klara met up in Vietnam, Forest shared how she’d been searching for a journal that truly fit her needs. As fate would have it, Klara had been planning to create one. Despite living on different continents for over a decade, their lives seemed to align once again, as they had so many times before—pursuing similar dreams in different corners of the world.
Forest’s eye for design and Klara’s expertise and content came together to create this journal. It’s the result of years of friendship, shared values, and a mutual desire to help others. They hope this journal brings as much clarity, intention, and joy to your life as it has to theirs.
